Things We Did in the Three Weeks of School

We had fun learning a lot these three weeks back to school and here are the thing we did. For math we did Map testing, and then we did the placement test on Moby Max, and we also learned how to turn fractions into decimals and how to turn decimals into fractions. Later we learned place value with decimals and the value of a number and how a number like 460 can also be a decimal if we add the three zeros and you add a decimal point we can make it into a decimal and 460 as a decimal would look like this ,{460.000}.

In reading we did the Map testing for reading, we learned about what is a conflict and what are different types of conflicts for example their are 4 conflicts 1:Character Vs Character  2:Character Vs Self   3:Character Vs Nature  4:Character Vs Society. We also did an about me slide that had our name, a word about a feeling you bring to the class, and a quote about the word we chose and a picture of ourselves. We also learned vocabulary after we read the book Thank You Mr. Falker and we're learning on doing a socratic seminar which is like a debate.

For music we are working on rhythm and and matching with the music and we are also going to start using the recorders to use for music and we're gonna learn how to use them and how to play different song with them. Also we're learning about different types of music and about our notes like a quarter note and a half note.

For gym we're playing outside and doing lots of things like hop scotch, 4 square and the obstacle course. We're also doing marathon kids that is where every class has to run a lot of laps around the whole field and we add how many laps our whole class did to see who did the laps and which class did the most laps. We're also doing tag and tether ball. 

For science and social studies we opened up an app on our computer called vault and it is going to teach us thing about science and social studies. Those are the things we did in the first three weeks of school.
